Lenka Lagronová and Roman Sikora at the Theatre Festival in Maribor (Slovenia)


Lenka Lagronová’s Z prachu hvězd (From Dust of Stars) and Roman Sikora’s Zpověď masochisty (Confessions of a Masochist) were introduced to a Slovenian audience.

47th theatre festival Borstnikovo Srecanje which took place at the end of October 2012 in Maribor (SLO) was focused on contemporary Czech drama. Students of the local Academy of TheatreRadio and Television prepared staged readings of three Czech plays under the direction by Yulia Roschina. These included Z prachu hvězd (From Dust of Stars) by Lenka Lagronová, Zpověď masochisty (Confessions of a Masochist) by Roman Sikora, and Vejce (Eggs) by Petr Kolečko.


All three plays have been published in the Slovenian translation in an anthology of contemporary Czech drama.


The stage readings were followed by a discussion with Roman Sikora nad Petr Kolečko.


The day of Czech drama resulted from a cooperation between the Slovenian festival and the Arts and Theatre Institute (ATI) in Prague.
