Open call for a grant for the development of a film debut for 2026. Supporting emerging filmmakers for the third time

3.6.2026

Thanks to our grant, filmmakers can receive funding to develop the screenplay for their first feature film. The total amount allocated by the supervisory board for the grant is 170,000 Czech crowns.

Who is eligible for the grant?

The grant is intended for graduates of art schools up to the age of 35, primarily film schools (FAMU, FAMO, UTB). However, graduation from an art-focused study program is not required. The requirement is the intention to write the first screenplay for a feature film.

The grant is awarded on the condition that DILIA will represent the author in the event of its future production.

How can you apply for the grant?

The applicants have to submit:

  • a synopsis (1 standard page) and a treatment (at least 8, no more than 12 standard pages) of the future screenplay,
  • the grant’s applicant CV and
  • a sworn declaration confirming that it’s a debut screenplay for a feature film

Each applicant may submit only one project for a grant; in the case of co-authorship, all co-authors must be listed.

The deadline for submitting grant applications is on June 15, 2026.
