TAJEMSTVÍ ŽLUTÉHO HŘBETU / THE SECRET OF A YELLOW SPINE

Police officer Kudlic is facing a difficult case: soldier Houska has confessed to a murder of a pregnant woman and then hanged himself in the prison cell. However, no dead body is found on the crime scene. It’s time to search for the victim!
The journey is going to lead him through a prison Skunk-Skunk into the Spider Cave and maybe even further… Soon a villain, Quasimodo (called Yellow Spine – this refers to yellow spines of low-quality books) appears on the scene.
The play was written for the theatre Divadllo A. Dvoraka in Pribram and the assignment was to connect various songs composed by Jiri Suchy. Smart play which is on the border with a mute grotesque and cabaret in Monthy-Python style is written for approximately 10 actors who will portray more than 40 characters. DILIA offers two versions: the original version including songs by Jiri Suchy and an edited version without the songs (writing a new original music is welcome and encouraged).
The play was awarded the second place at Evald Schorm Awards for 2011.
