Prague, August 1968. On the historic backdrop of the Soviet occupation, a Prague police officer with an unpronounceable name chases two mediaeval statues stolen from a castle in Bohemia, doggedly tracing them as they are being smuggled to the West. Almost getting his hands on them, he is double-crossed by his own sergeant and ends up in French jail where he celebrates his escape to freedom.
First produced on BBC Radio in 1975, reviewed as „the best radio of the week“ by The Listener, followed by a dozen repeats on German radio stations, Switzerland, Italy, Israel and the Czech Republic. Now an extended stage version.
