Bohadlová, Kateřina

Katerina Bohadlova is a Czech Germanist and Italianist. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts atCharlesUniversityinPrague. She has been to scholarship stays at universities in Esse,Udine, Constance and La Sapienza University inRome. She specializes in Romance literatures, especially Italian drama (commedia dell’arte, baroque drama). Her diploma thesis on Flaminio Scala and his Il Teatro delle Favole rappresentative won the Francesco Petrarca Award and it was published in 2005. Apart from research, she is also engaged in translating from Italian and German texts, ranging from baroque plays to the contemporary ones (especially plays written by authors of her generation).
